Who are you?
I am a husband, father, teacher, techie, book reading, game playing, sometimes 12-year-old guy who loves to have fun and learn new things.
What led you to education?
Two words: Mr. Duncan. He was one of those teachers that inspire without even knowing it. I vividly remember when he taught me about thesis sentences, which then lead to reading books, and then to me wanting to make a difference to others in the same way he made a difference to me.
What do you have a knack for? How did you find that out?
I have a knack for sports gambling! I don't do any sort of serious gambling or anything on a consistent basis. When I do engage in a friendly wager, I generally make money, especially if it's March Madness or fantasy football.
What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can’t you stop talking about?
I'm really passionate about sports. Going to a game, watching sports on TV, and listening to ESPN radio are some of my favorites. Outside of sports, I'm a big fan of graphic design, and I'm working on getting better with home improvement projects.
Where can we find you when you’re not working? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
My wife and I like going on walks or hikes or catching a run at Copper Mountain. Skiing in the winter with my daughter is something I look forward to most weekends. During the summer, it's all about the pool or a better than expected round of golf.
What would be impossible for you to give up?
Craft beer. Thankfully, I have several friends who make some dang good beer, so I'm not too worried about this one.
